I was at the premiere of the Hobbit in 2012
I remember looking back at the famous Weta Workshop crew in attendance, and seeing their shocked, disappointed faces…that they had spend 5 years slaving away on this film. They thought they were working on the next Lord of the Rings…when in reality they were working on a Playstation Cutscene with a 150 million dollar budget.. Some of my local comedian friends in SF had an idea to make a parody of all the CGI in it, and we came up with this questionable film.
Hoo boy...this might cause some controversy. This is the sketch that caused people to either laugh their ass off or be really disgusted.
CGI is getting really advanced these days. So advanced that you don't even need actors. Witness the magic of CGI filmmaking on the set of "The Hobbit".
